Welcome to
GuideLines -- the new column on Reel-Time
where we'll be asking for questions from all of you, to be answered by experts,
professional guides.
You know guides . . . the people who are in the trenches every day and can tell you
what works, or more important than that, what doesn't work -- from boats and how to rig
them, to the fine points of tackle? We'll cover everything from shad and stripers to
tarpon and sailfish. Do you need to know what flylines are best for Nantucket, or for
bonefish in Islamorada? Ask GuideLines and you can be assured that the
answer you get will be from a fishing professional from that area who knows their stuff. So send us your questions
to our e-mail address listed on this page and we'll get started.

| About
the Authors |
| Bob guides for bonefish, tarpon
and permit on the flats in Florida's Upper Keys, mostly fishing the waters from Biscayne
Bay to Duck Key. He writes articles and shoots photos for magazines, and serves on
the Pro Staff of major fly fishing related companies. Sandy writes outdoor fiction
and destination articles, and has a couple book projects in the works. Together they
produce a regular fly fishing column for Sporting Classics magazine. Their almost
thirty years of fly fishing experience covers more than just the Keys - they have also
lived, and Bob has guided in, the Pacific Northwest, the Laguna Madre of Texas, the
Yucatan, Belize and the Bahamas. |
