    About Our New Look

It's been a long time since we did a redesign on this site, and honestly, it was desperately needed. What you are seeing today is not the end of that process, but rather a beginning. We still have lots of content to move, new features to roll out, etc., and that work will be going on in the background in the coming weeks and months.

You'll notice we've added a classified ad system. To get things rolling, I've opened it up and for the next two weeks, ads will be free for registered users. From there on, we'll be offering ads at a very low price to help get your unused gear into the hands of someone that can put it to work.

If you want to contribute to the site, either by helping to move content around (you need to know Wordpress and HTML) or by writing new articles, contact me:mcahill@namemedia.com.

BILL INTRODUCED TO REPEAL NY SALTWATER LICENSE

Sen. Foley (D-Brookhaven) has introduced S6250, a bill that would repeal NY’s new salt water fishing license and replace it with something that is disingenuously being called a “free” angler registration. (Here’s a link to the legislation if you’d like to take a look yourself: http://open.nysenate.gov/openleg/api/html/bill/S6250). Of course nothing in government is really free. If [...]
